What can I do if I don't want to give my bank or building society details over the phone? |
|
We will hold all bank or building society details securely and in strict confidence. Your details will not be passed to any other department. If you don't want to give your details to us over the phone, we can send you a paper copy of the Direct Debit instruction, but this will take longer to set up.

Our people and anyone working for our agents or contractors have a responsibility to keep your information confidential and will only use it to offer products and services on our behalf. Older Internet browsers can't use SSL. For complete peace of mind, use Netscape version 4.05 or Microsoft Internet Explorer version 4 or above.

What extra measures can I take against Internet fraud? |
|
Choose a password that's memorable, but not guessable, change it regularly and, if you do write it down, keep it somewhere safe and secure. Also after your session on BT.com, log off, clear your browser's cache and close your browser. You might also want to investigate BT's security products such as BT NetProtect, our firewall and anti-virus solution. This protects your computer whenever you are online. Find out more here.
