GB

GB is short for Gigabyte. A Gigabyte is a way of measuring how much you use the Internet. Everything that is transferred over a broadband connection is simply data or "digital traffic", whether it is music tracks, e-mails, webpages or pictures. All digital traffic is made up of bits of data. Everything which goes across the Internet can be measured by the amount of data that is sent or received, although some things use more data than others do.

8 bits of data = 1 byte of data

1024 MB of data = 1GB (Giga Byte)
