BestFriend is part of Friends & Family - a plan that's designed to help you save money on the numbers you call most often. With this plan, you can choose one number - your BestFriend number - and receive a 20% discount whenever you call it. Every BT bill is numbered. Youll find the number in the top portion of your bill (eg, Q135NT). If requested, please use your most recent BT bill ID when you sign up and create a profile.

If you decided that you'd like the convenience of viewing your BT bills online, we'll send regular bill alerts to let you know that your most up-to-date BT bill is ready to view. Bill alerts are sent to the email address that's stored in your BT.com profile. If you change your email address, please make sure that you update your profile. If you don't, you may not receive your bill alerts and may not be able to view your bill online. When you sign up to manage your account online, you can choose to create graphs that show your calling patterns in a range of easy-to-read formats. It's easy to display your fixed line calls in different ways so you can see the duration or cost within a given range of dates.

Broadband means, very simply, a high-speed connection to the Internet that is 'always on'. It is up to 10 or 20 times faster than a 56K modem enabling you to view web content and download files more quickly. It's called broadband because it has a much larger capacity to receive (and send) data.

Your Browser is the program you use to view web pages when you go online. Popular browsers include Microsoft's Internet Explorer and Apple's Safari.

If you have a BT email address, it will be in one of these formats:

your.name@btinternet.com or your.name@btopenworld.com

If you have multiple email addresses (e.g. if you have BT's Premium Mail service), please make sure you enter your primary email address when prompted.

The BT Hub Phone works with the BT Home Hub to let you make low cost BT Broadband Talk calls over the Internet.

From 1 April 2008 we changed the name of our BT Together Options to make them easier to understand. This name refers to our range of calling plans that are now referred to as the Unlimited Weekend Plan, Unlimited Evening & Weekend Plan and the Unlimited Anytime Plan.

They are a range of pricing options that are designed help make saving on your calls simpler. Just choose the option that suits you best - depending on when you use the phone the most and/or the type of calls you make. You then pay a certain amount each month and get lower call rates.

BT Yahoo! Internet is the former name for BTs broadband and dial-up Internet products. All BT broadband customers have access to a great range of Yahoo! products and services, including a personalised browser, BT Yahoo! Mail, online security and more. If youre already a BTopenworld, BT Yahoo! or BT Total Broadband customer, you can use your BT email address and password to log in to your online services at http://bt.yahoo.co.uk.
