Conditions for the BT L-Band Relay Service

Brief Description:

The BT L-Band Relay Service is a specially constructed network service designed for broadcasters and service providers who wish to originate video, audio and data feeds in ‘L-band’ and deliver them to multiple Customer sites across the UK.

The BT L-Band Relay Service comprises circuits between BT Exchanges and Customer sites. Each BT Exchange within the network can serve up to a maximum of 4 Customer sites. The BT L-Band Relay Service provides for the unidirectional transmission of signals over optical fibres, which have been down-linked by means of a 1.2m TV Receive Only (TVRO) at the relevant BT Exchanges. The service will be monitored on a 24 hour, 365 day a year basis, managed from a centralised service management centre.

The BT L-Band Relay Service is provided to an initial defined population of 80 Customer sites across the UK. The minimum available term for this service is 5 years.
