1. What is Caller Display?
Caller Display is a service that shows the number of the person calling, before you answer the phone. So you can decide whether to answer the phone or let the call go straight through to your answering service.
2. Do I need special equipment to use Caller Display?
You will need a phone which is compatible with Caller Display. You can buy one from BT or other suppliers. Further information can be found online or by calling 150.
3. What are the main benefits of Caller Display?
Because you can see who's calling before answering the phone, you control who you talk to.

Caller Display also lets you take advantage of the new BT Text service which lets you send and receive SMS on your landline.
4. What happens if my caller has decided to withhold their number?
When the phone rings, Caller Display shows that the number is being withheld.
5. Who can have Caller Display?
Any customer on a PSTN line.
BT residential customers making calls on the BT network can opt in to receive BT Privacy at Home, FREE. Caller Display equipment required. Allow 28 days for activation of Telephone Preference Service.

Caller Display requires a compatible phone which can be ordered from BT Shop. Numbers will not be displayed if the call is from payphones, some switchboards, non-BT networks or where a caller's number is withheld.
