Security set-up

Follow these simple steps to check and download your online security. You may need to restart your computer, so please print these steps for reference using the 'print this page' link above.
1. What you get

Your BT Total Broadband service includes:

  • email anti-virus and spam filter
  • anti-spyware protection
  • pop-up blocker
  • parental controls

If you've BT Total Broadband Option 2 or 3, you also have:

  • Norton AntiVirus™
  • Norton Personal Firewall™
  • identity theft support

If you've got BT Total Broadband Option 1 and want the extra protection that comes with Norton AntiVirus™ and Norton Personal Firewall™, you can either upgrade to BT Total Broadband Option 2 or 3, or get BT NetProtect. With our current offer BT NetProtect is FREE for the first 3 months and then just £3.50 a month1

2. Get your security software

Follow the instructions at http://bt.software.yahoo.com - you'll need to log in using your BT Yahoo! Mail address(i.e. your@btinternet.com email address) and password.

To upgrade to BT Total Broadband Option 2 or 3, go to www.bt.com/broadband/upgrade

To get BT NetProtect, go to www.bt.com/netprotect
